Apartment for sale...amazing!

I am not in the market to move to New York, but if I was this would be a dreamy place to live.  Plus it is for sale!  For more information and inspiration, check out the Trail of Inspiration blog by Lulu, the owner of this home.

Lovely entries

I love each one of these entry tables and accessories!  I think what I am drawn to is the simplicity and natural feel of each.  Soft tones of wood,  nice lighting and fresh greenery or flowers.

Back to school shopping

My son is returning to college this week and moving into the fraternity house!  I'm sure it will be a great environment to study and relax!  (not)  With that in mind we wanted to freshen up his room with some new basics and loved finding some good deals.

Since his roommate is hauling up a couch, chair and coffee table we are providing the television, refrigerator and other electronics.  Hoping for good grades and wonderful memories!

Dining room ideas by Samantha Pynn

Samantha Pynn is a decorator, stylist and the host and principal designer of Pure Design on HGTV Canada.  I was impressed by the beautiful floors and simple design of each dining room.

Shopping at West Elm

I've always loved looking through the West Elm catalog, and had the chance last week to shop in their Dallas store.  I was very impressed and will be back!

You could easily furnish your whole home here.  They have everything from furniture, lighting, bedding, rugs, storage and accessories.  This West Elm is in Mockingbird Station so stop in if you are in the area!

Etsy Friday Favorite

I love bird houses and nature and ran across this lovely Etsy shop, Wuderwerx.  I've never seen a bee hotel before, have you?    Each piece is so unique!

Mike collects pieces of wood from around Scotland, and turns them into beautiful objects! From Bird Boxes to Bee Hotels, Candle holders to Driftwood Picture Frames, you'll find them all here. Enjoy looking round!

A pop of turquoise

My friend Jaye just bought a beach house and is going to start doing a few updates soon.  We love the feel of all white with touches of turquoise.  This motivated me for todays blog.

We will continue to look for ways to brighten up the old place and bring in new life.  Hope to have some before and after pictures in the coming months.
